An advanced manufacture of cutting edge power solutions is celebrating being nominated for two prestigious export Awards.

Powervamp, which has two UK offices in Weston-super-Mare and Luton, is up for ‘International Company of the Year’ and ‘Excellence in International Trade’ at the Business Insider South West International Trade Awards.

The awards highlight the achievements of companies excelling across the globe through their service provision, manufacturing and innovation.

Powervamp products are exported to fifty five countries around the world, in various sectors such as automotive, aviation and the built environment.

Insider‘s 2015 International Trade Awards will take place on Thursday 21 May at Grand Thistle Hotel in Bristol.

Formed in 1993, Powervamp Ltd is a world-recognised designer and manufacturer of equipment for the powering and starting of all types of vehicles, aircraft, plant and marine craft, as well as being a key service provider to the aviation industry.

One of the fastest growing sectors of Powervamp’s business is the Effekta standby lighting division, which provides emergency lighting in major public areas including Airports, Government buildings and Shopping Malls.

Most recently Powervamp has won a major contract with London City Airport to supply mobile ground power units, (MEGP), in what represented a UK manufacturing first. No other company could offer the engineering capabilities required to design and build such a bespoke product.

Powervamp has also recently secured a number of high-profile contracts at London Heathrow, Downing Street and has also been awarded the contract to became the main provider of power for the prestigious Paris Air Show later this year.
