Powervamp is pleased to announce it will be exhibiting at AERO 2014 Friedrichshafen on 9th April on stand A5-127, with a wide range of aviation products.
AERO 2014 is set to see some 600 exhibitors attend what will be the 22nd AERO Friedrichshafen exhibition. AERO Friedrichshafen is Europe’s largest and most important trade show for general aviation, focusing on modern engine aircraft, helicopters, and business jets.
Launched in 1977, every year exhibitors from more than 30 different countries occupy more than 80,000 m² of exhibition space to present their latest products and services.
‘Everything that flies’ is the slogan for this year’s event. AERO 2014 will showcase more than 200 aircraft along with engines, propellers, avionics equipment, pilot supplies and accessories. The latest gliders, ultra-lights, planes, helicopters, gyrocopters, turboprops and business jets will also feature, and can be enjoyed by visitors.
AERO 2014 Project Manager Roland Bosch is looking forward to this year’s event: “We are seeing very good demand; ten exhibition halls will be filled.”
Some of the highlights of the exhibition:
Powered flight – single-engine and twins
A high proportion of the aircraft on display at AERO are classic single- and twin-engined aircraft with piston engines.
Ultra-light, Light Sport Aircraft, and European Light Aircraft
By far the largest number of exhibits are dedicated to ultra-light aircraft, with one or two seats and weigh a maximum of 472 kg.
Business aviation
Extends from single- and twin-engine piston aircraft to one- or multi-engine turboprop aircraft, through to premier class business jets.
Gliding
Since its beginnings, the AERO has also been home to fans of silent flight. Several manufacturers will present their one, or two, seaters.
Electric helicopters
One of the big attractions is expected to be the Volocopter from Karlsruhe – the electric helicopter with a total of 18 rotors.
Engine Area
A separate area specifically for aviation engines, featuring new piston engines for operation on unleaded fuel and also modern diesel engines.
Civilian drones in use
See how far the development of civilian drones has come, their uses ranging from environmental research and earth observation to architecture.
AERO Conferences
As part of the AERO Conferences, there will be more than 100 presentations, conferences, and workshops on current topics in aviation.
Job fair AERO Career
Businesses and universities will be presenting themselves and providing information on training opportunities, career profiles, and job opportunities.
