Ever since 1994 Powervamp has specialised in the design and manufacture of high performance portable power packs for the "instant" starting of all types of turbine and piston engines.

Company growth has been achieved through the expanding world sales of its unique range of portable ground power units (GPUs) for jet turbine starting and its highly successful hand portable starting packs for all gasoline and diesel engines which it supplies to the vehicle fleet markets, construction and transport industries.

As an ISO 9001-2000 accredited company, Powervamp's recognised design expertise, build quality and product support are further enhanced by its global network of stocking distributors, and agents able to provide product demonstrations, technical advice and factory trained service. The majority of Powervamp products are NATO codified with many in regular daily use supporting critical forward area land and air operations with peace keeping forces in hostile areas.

Other products designed and manufactured in its modern UK factory include 12 & 28 volt DC micro power supplies, integrated GPUs and power supplies as used by the US military, US coastguard, and many air forces, and a range of static and trailer mounted DC GPUs for heavy turbine starting. New developments include a 115 volt 400 Hz AV unit for regional airlines and engine powered generator systems.

Due to its very large aviation customer base spanning civil and para military operations in more than 48 countries, and the Armed Forces of more than 27 countries, Powervamp Ltd represents a number of exclusive agencies, and as a distributor in the Aviation, marine and vehicle fleet markets for a variety of products which include heliport lighting, portable landing lights, special batteries, chargers, power supplies and inverters.

A separate division, with its own brand identity, markets batteries and accessories to the Racing and Rally industry where Powervamp's specialist knowledge within the industry is frequent sought by some of the top Rally car builders and race car owner drivers.
