Coolspool 260 Battery Ramp Cart to power Pilatus Aircraft

Powervamp is pleased to announce the latest sale of twelve of its award winning Coolspool 260 battery ramp carts to Pilatus Aircraft. This latest sale takes the total of units ordered by Pilatus to over 100 units.

Pilatus evaluated battery based GPU systems on a customer’s request back in 2010, and since then has chosen the Powervamp Coolspool 260 as the GPU for the PC-21 NextGen trainer. The PC-21 (above) is in use with air forces all over the world and is part of the ground support equipment package delivered for all customer projects. The Coolspool 260 is used as an external power source to start the aircraft engine on the flight line – for military pilot training the aircraft are parked on the ramp in a row and for each mission.
