Powervamp is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the contract to supply all ground power to the static park at the 51st International Paris Air Show.
The Paris Airshow 2015 will take place at the Le Bourget Parc des Expositions from 15 to 21 June, and will once again bring together all the major aircraft manufacturers in the global industry to showcase their latest technological innovations. The first four days of the show will be reserved for trade visitors, followed by three days open to the general public.
The Paris Airshow is held every two years and was established in 1909, making it the world’s oldest airshow. In 2013, visitors reached in excess of 315,000 with 150 aircraft involved in the daily demonstrations. The show also has an impressive static display of various aircraft ranging from unmanned drones to the Airbus A380.

A dedicated and experienced airshow team will embark to Paris for three weeks to work closely with the French organisers to ensure every aircraft in the static park is looked after. Powervamp will be building a substantial number of its latest generation PV45 45kVA and PV90-3 90kVA solid state frequency converters exclusively for the show.
These new GPUs will be in operation for the duration of the airshow, but will only have been run for approximately 70 hours in total. The GPUs will be available for sale with a 25% discount once the airshow finishes in late June. Pre-orders are being taken on a first come, first served basis.
