Powervamp has made the shortlist into the last three (from over 100 applicants) in the North Somerset Business Leader Awards 2014, within the ‘Innovation of the Year’ category for its Coolspool Ramp Carts product range.
The North Somerset Business Leader Awards is open to all types of businesses located in the North Somerset area and offers them the opportunity to showcase their commitment to quality and service that has made their company successful.
Powervamp’s Marketing Manger, Ed Roller, commented: “We’re very proud to have made it to the shortlist, especially in recognition of our Coolspool ramp carts – a range the company is particularly proud of for its innovation in the ground power field. Regardless of who wins, it’s an achievement that the Powervamp team as a whole can take pride in.” 
The entries within the 13 award categories are judged on merit, not the size of the organisation, with judges looking for businesses that stand out and show a passion for excellence.
The ‘Innovation of the Year’ category:
This award is for a company which demonstrates a product or service innovation that has led to commercial success or had a significant impact. Judges will be looking for evidence of:
• The journey that led to the development of your innovation, including details of research.
• The benefits and impact of your product or service to the users. • Details of patents, copyright or trademarks if applicable. • The commercial success and financial performance if applicable;
or
• The measurable impact the innovation has or will have.
The awards will be presented on stage at a star-studded gala awards evening held at the Double-Tree by Hilton, Cadbury House Hotel on Thursday September 25th. The evening will be hosted by Michelle Mone OBE.
