Helitech International is a dedicated helicopter exhibition and conference which is held annually between London and Amsterdam alternatively. The 2018 expo returned to the Amsterdam RAI for a 3rd time, and hosted visitors from over 70 different countries.
The expo and conference offer an accessible industry platform for product launches, press releases and networking opportunities. With this years event increasing in size by a 10% since it was staged in the Netherlands last year, its future appears to be in safe hands in this buoyant market.
This years Helitech exhibition brought together over 3,000 buyers and over 150 international exhibitors including 4 major OEMs to network, learn and do business. The exhibition also offered a full representation of the rotorcraft supply chain comprising of aircraft interiors, avionics and navigation systems as well as communication equipment, night vision, engines and leasing options.
The Powervamp aviation DC sales team travelled to Amsterdam to support long time French distributor, Semia, at this exhibition. Semia was founded in 1986 and is located in Cergy-Pontoise, on the outskirts of Paris – near Charles-De-Gaulle airport.
The company specialises in the development and manufacture of its own range of products for the measurement of vibration on all aircraft and prides itself on its large in-house research and development facility.
Semia has also been a loyal distributor of the Powervamp ground support equipment, particularly the 28V DC product lines, and has developed a strong market in France through exhibitions, customer visits and consistent marketing activities.
Powervamp has worked alongside Semia at a number of European exhibitions and offers product and technical support to further grow the brand and discuss the latest Powervamp product developments. Helitech International was no exception with the latest generation ground power units and power supplies being displayed, and onsite training given to the Semia sales team in-between fielding the various visitor inquiries.
The expo has always proved popular and draws a diverse international clientele – this year was no different with a substantial amount of inquiries taken over the 3 days. DC Sales Manager, Phil Horn, was in attendance and commented,
“This years exhibition offered a great opportunity to speak directly with visitors about the new ground power units. It also allows us to get first hand feedback on products already out in the field to understand how they are being used, or if there is a gap in the market for a new GPU.”
As the DC sales team return to the UK, it just remains for the inquiries to be followed up, quotes composed before the preparations are made for the next exhibition.
