What started out as yet another enquiry for the Sales Team at Effekta UK, turned into something memorable for all those involved.
Earlier this month Effekta UK had the privilege to witness one of music’s great gifts to the world; a superb example of the reproducing piano. Reproducing pianos not only play the piano automatically, being informed by a coded roll of paper, but exactly reproduce the entire dynamics (pedals, crescendos, decrescendos, instantaneous sound levels of each note) as recorded by the pianist.
The owner/collector of such a piano, Mr Paul Salmon, was having some complications with a current frequency converter he had when he got in contact with our Sales Team. After sensing “excellent customer care” during the initial introduction, and following our eagerness to provide assistance to such an intriguing project, it was agreed that Mr Salmon would hire one of our newest members of the Effekta range; enter the EF1 PPS. This new, compact frequency converter offers flexibility on the input as well as the output, and can be configured for a wide variety of voltages and frequencies.
Such was Mr Salmon’s satisfaction with the EF1 system that following the completion of its hire, the system now resides permanently with Mr Salmon, allowing him to continue restoring these fabulous and unique pieces of artistry.
