Pilatus coolspool shipment

Conceived originally as a solution to the need to develop more powerful battery carts for busy FBO’s or Ramp operations at regional and Business jet airports, the first 28 volt 130 amp/hour Coolspool GPU was sold to a Tanzanian Airline ‘Precision Air’ in 2002. Since then, the Coolspool product has been refined and the range extended. Now, not only is it selling world wide to helicopter and regional aircraft operators, but the military have also seen the versatility and power of the units.

Commented Powervamp’s V/P – North American Operations, Brian Clear:
“Confirmation of the Coolspool’s Military success has been verified by the award of yet another large foreign Government contract* for this amazing battery cart. This has lifted production to record levels and necessitated factory expansion.” “This latest order of special units is slated for a phased delivery during 2010/2011 and follows on from a second multiple order from Pilatus Aircraft for Coolspool 260 GPU’s”.

With orders for various models of its Coolspool units increasing daily, Powervamp have a winning combination of sought after product and increasing orders from ‘blue chip’ customers. Completing Powervamp’s recent ‘Aviation hat trick’ of multiple orders is the purchase by Cessna Aircraft of a significant quantity* of Powervamp’s specially developed PS80C 28 volt DC power supplies.

This lightweight 100 amp portable unit, complete with specially designed accessory bandolier for Cessna, is widely used during software updates. Its compact size and lightweight allow it to be carried on board with minimum weight penalty, providing good smooth DC power anywhere in the world from either a domestic mains supply or portable gen set.
