An essential key to success and growth in business is about identifying market opportunities. If they also fit the master plan too, that’s a huge plus. For Powervamp Ltd, the UK leading manufacturer of 28volt GPU DC battery packs, DC carts, TRUs and 400Hz solid state frequency converters, events came together two months ago to product that perfect opportunity.
The company had been planning to set up a sales, service and distribution centre in the southern hemisphere to support its sales in New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific. With Powervamp’s strong emphasis on product support and customer service, recruiting the right people with the necessary technical skills, market knowledge and business ethics was always going to be a tough call. At this point – enter Tony Marsters of Aeromasters NZ and his team.
With Aeromarsters NZ already working on an Air New Zealand project with Powervamp, discussions started on the possibility of the UK company acquiring the existing business. For legal reasons it was decided a better option was to form a new company “Aeromarsters Powervamp Ltd”. The new business continues to operate from the same premises. With new licences due to be issued, and core agencies all endorsing the new well funded and capitalised company, Aeromarsters Powervamp is now well into its stride with General Manager and major shareholder Tony Marsters heading up the same dedicated engineering and sales team. Powervamp’s financial strength and comprehensive product range, plus the added bonus that Powervamp’s world-wide connections bring, the new company is off to a blistering start.
Major US Hose management system and PCA manufacturer Twist Inc as well as Beak Engineering with their Diesel GPU’s have already swung their support behind the new company with agency agreements now in the process of being signed with Aeromarsters Powervamp Ltd.
Commenting on the new company General Manager, Tony Marsters, said:
“Having the clout of Powervamp behind the new company is excellent. We have received calls of support from our suppliers and from many of our customers too. Already we are seeing an upturn in business. One of the aces we now have is access to Powervamp’s UK operation which we call upon if we need to. For example, their purchasing department may be sourcing throughout our night with the answer or part already on its way when our day starts. At present we are reviewing all our existing agencies and taking on new lines as we focus on the opportunities afforded by the new business to quote on major projects”.
The Aeromarsters Powervamp web site is now online and shipments of stock are already en-route from the UK. The new entity is now focused on making sure that all customers of former company Aeromarsters NZ Ltd are fully aware of the new business and the additional products and services that are now on offer.
