The Powervamp service engineers were recently required to visit a customer in Israel that was experiencing issues with their Coolspool Hybrid 300.
The engineers visited Reut Airways based at the main airport, (Ben Gurion), situated 12 miles to the south east of Tel Aviv. The airport is the main international airport of Israel and the busiest in the country – last year it handled in excess of 20.8 million passengers.
Reut Airways operate a 24hr service utilising their fleet of 2010 Cessna Citation Mustang aircraft. The company offer a VIP travel experience and have connections with other providers to offer an additional range of bespoke package deals including hotel, apartment, guide, car and driver and drivers.
The Coolspool Hybrid 300 is used between 2-3 times daily to power the Cessna for pre-flight checks, run the air-conditioning and turbine starts.
A recent electrical modification in the Reut Airways hanger had resulted in the service team being requested to modify the Coolspool Hybrid 300 from a 200V AC, 3-phase input to a 400V AC, 3-phase input.
During the 4 day visit, and despite the daily 4km round trip to the Cessna in punishing 35℃+ temperatures, the Powervamp team also delivered an extensive training program to show the ground crew how to maintain and service the Hybrid unit to maximise its service life.
At the end of the service visit the Reut Airways ground crew were up to speed with the general operation of the Coolspool Hybrid 300 and the hanger had also been inspected and tested to ensure it complied with the Hybrids charging requirements.
This brief, albeit critical visit, to Reut Airways underlines the importance of being able to react quickly and professionally to a customers request – and the importance of customer support, no matter where they are in the world.
